I have finally convinced one of my most successful Bookflippers to come forward with his success story. Today’s post comes from Ron Bourgh (http://www.ronbourgh.info) and I have been watching the great things he has been doing on Flippa with his Book Flips auctions.
So… I will let you have it in Ron’s own words:
How I Turned My $37 Bookflips.com Investment Into $1,488.00 In 17 Days!
I have been talking with Ms. Miller for some time since my purchase of the BookFlips system, sharing ideas for improvements, ideas, templates, etc. While I have promised to give her a testimonial/review of my success, I have not really had the time to do so. Finally, I’m taking a time out to share my success with the Bookflips system.
Many of you will know me as a supplier of PLR and articles on the Warrior Forum. My name is Ron Bourgh, and I have never tried site flipping before with any seriousness. On the Warrior Forum, my ID is “ryangb74.”
The truth of the matter is, I mainly provide services to other marketers as a writer, while at the same time doing affiliate marketing and CPA marketing on the side for extra money. I have had moderate success in affiliate and CPA marketing, but I honestly don’t focus on it – I mainly focus on my PLR business.
But, coming across the BookFlips system in a WSO, I figured I would give it a shot. Unfortunately, I am a late bloomer – I paid $37 while everyone else paid $17 – but, in my honest opinion, it should be much higher. Ms. Miller has noted in her WSO she may raise it to $67. That may still be too low.
If you have any questions about this system – if you have any doubts – let me alleviate them now. I made way more than my initial investment in less than 20 days – and I don’t mean by a few hundred dollars either!!!
With my initial investment of $37, I took the BookFlips system, added some of my minor twists and made $397 on my first website. Over the next 16 days, I had grossed $1488.00 in website sales!! Yes, I do add my own twists and customize the copy a bit, but I really don’t think they factor in as much as many think.
I have given Ms. Miller screenshots of my Flippa and Paypal accounts as proof. Sorry they are so ugly – I used Jing instead of Photoshop for quicker ease of use.
What’s even better is I have customers that contact me – after the auctions – angry with themselves that they missed it! They now BEG me to contact them when I put something new up!
If I can do this with Ms. Miller’s system, anyone can.
Ron Bourgh http://www.ronbourgh.infoRon goes on to describe some of the tweaks he makes and some of his recommendations regarding how to use the course. For the sake of brevity, I will summarize a bit.
- Make your domain name relevant to the book title.
- Look up your keywords to see how many searches they get, and use that information in your auction listing.
- Offer a bonus for using Buy-it-Now.
- HTML sites are much easier to transfer than WordPress sites!
- Make a 4-5 page site: Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Buy Book On Amazon, and Contact Us pages. Generate a sitemap.xml file.
- REWORD THE SALES COPY TEMPLATE that comes with BookFlips!
That last one is very important, and something that I have already added to the new version of the Book Flips guide.
People who are buying websites on Flippa want to be excited when they come across a site they are considering buying – I know I do! And let’s face it, seeing the same auction listing over and over again is not exciting.
Well there you have it folks, evidence that there is some very real money to be made at this whole Bookflipping business.
Thanks Ron, for sharing your story, and congratulations on your great success. Now… who’s next?
Happy Flipping!

Wow! What a great testimonial. Congrats on your success Ron!!
I’d be interested to know how long each book took to write.
Thanks,
Drew
If you already have the bookflips system, Ms. Miller shows you how to create and write books very fast. I can do two books a day easily.
Ron,
what is your flippa ID or username on flippa?
