I know I haven’t posted much here recently, but I have been pretty busy behind the scenes, believe me.
I have asked more than once for Book Flips success stories and so far have only had one individual come forward to tell his. You can read about Ron here.
Today’s post is about a success story of sorts, or maybe I should say TWO success stories. Probably one of the more well-known and successful book-flippers out there was a self-proclaimed “Average Guy” named Steve Mount. His success was not all from the actual flips he made though.
Steve was a Book Flips customer who bought the course, successfully implemented it and THEN… he wrote his own “course.” Actually, it was more of a case study. He wrote a very brief pdf, with links to videos of himself completing the book-flipping steps, and sold it as “The Average Guy Marketing Method.” And he sold quite a few of them. And put it on Clickbank, where he got some affiliates who sold some more copies. There you go – Success Story.
However… the final success in this story is my own. Steve likes to create products, sell some copies, and then flip the whole thing. (Are you kinda seeing why he liked Book Flips? aaannnddd… Are you kinda seeing where I am headed here?)
Our friend Steve put Average Guy Marketing up for sale on Flippa. And Smart Gal Teresa sees it for sale, and (much the way I jumped on Book Flips, way back when) decides she really, really wants to get this case study for her loyal Book Flips customers.
I didn’t want to pay as much for Average Guy as I did for Book Flips however, because, well.. I do already have the original, right? So I got into a bit of a bidding war, and at the last minute someone outbid me by using the Buy-it-Now option. Don’t you hate when that happens?
Well, lucky for me, and lucky for all of my Book Flips buyers, Steve had a deadbeat bidder on his hands. That sale fell through, so… long-story-short: he and I were able to come to an agreement and I am now the proud new owner of a great case study to include with my Book Flips course.
If you are reading this and happen to be an Average Guy affiliate, never fear. AGM will still be available as a stand-alone product, and the price – and commission – will stay the same.
All current Book Flips customers, watch your inbox for notification when the case study is added to your download page. And if you haven’t bought Book Flips yet, you should do so right away, because as soon as I get AGM added as a bonus, the Book Flips price is going up!
I would be interested in hearing some of your experiences in acquiring new internet property, so leave your comments below. Share with us!
Thanks for reading, and Happy Flipping!
Note: If you are interested in promoting Book Flips, be sure to sign up at the Affiliate page. Book Flips will be on Clickbank by early August.

Way to go Teresa !!!!
Kudos to you ! I know that’s got to be exciting… I’m glad I wasn’t the one bidding against you ! Love to hear all success stories… even when this one is yours !

Thanks, Wes!
This has really pushed me toward getting Book Flips ship-shape and ready to list on Clickbank!

WooHoo! Congrats on the purchase AND moving forward with the Clickbank listing. Eager to read/see the case study.
Hi Teresa,
You’re just an absolute pro! I would have been too bent to deal but you put that aside and moved forward for the benefits of your customers. You’re a class act!
And I’m so excited you have the affiliate program going. I’ve been looking forward to promote book flips!
Thanks, Alan! That means a lot to me, especially from someone I respect so much. There were a few snags with actually taking ownership of the new product (all settled now,) and I am having a pro rewrite my sales page for me.
But so far, I am still on track for an early August Clickbank launch. New bonuses, new sales copy, new affiliate program. I couldn’t be more excited!
